In the first of a series of online ensemble initiatives, Cambridgeshire Music is inviting young musicians to get involved in a virtual performance of the classic theme tune – Hawaii-5-0.

With the sun set to shine this weekend, we can escape our current isolation and imagine being on a sun-drenched beach with the tide lapping at our feet – it’s also got a great groove!

This project was designed for participants of Cambridgeshire Music's Area Music Centres (which meet in Cambridge and Ely during term time and cater for intermediate level students) but is open to everyone regardless of ability, instrument and location.

Simply download your part and guidance sheet from this dropbox link here and follow the instructions to record your own part.

The aim is to be as inclusive as possible, so if you can’t find a part for your instrument feel free to improvise your own. Or play one of the percussion parts on whatever you have around the house - a saucepan and spoon will probably work well for the triangle part, for example!

The closing date for Hawaii 5-0 submissions is Friday, 24 April and the final performance - consisting of everyone's performances - will be released on Cambridgeshire Music's social media channels on Monday, 27 April.
