The Signal Box was built in 2015 as a community space for the new developments being built in South Newtown, particularly Kaleidoscope, Accordia and the flats around Cambridge Station.
It is a charitable organisation created to benefit the all residents of Newtown district in Cambridge City. The Signal Box works with local residents, local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to improve the conditions of life for the residents
The pandemic has been challenging for the centre, and we are currently almost entirely volunteer-run by a small trustee board.
As things begin to return to ‘normal’ we are excited to be getting the centre back in use.
